HHS awards $20 million to increase telehealth access

The U.S. Office of Well being and Human Services, by means of the Well being Methods and Services Administration, has awarded $twenty million to improve telehealth entry and infrastructure for providers and families to aid protect against and react to COVID-19.

HRSA’s Maternal and Kid Well being Bureau awarded a total of $fifteen million to four recipients. They are: The American Academy of Pediatrics – Pediatric Treatment in Illinois, which acquired $six million the Affiliation of Maternal and Kid Well being Programs – Community Well being Units in Washington, D.C., which acquired $4 million Household Voices, Inc. – Household Engagement for Young children with Particular Well being Treatment Requirements in New Mexico, which acquired $one million and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill – Maternal Well being Treatment, North Carolina, which acquired $4 million.

HRSA’s Federal Office of Rural Well being Policy awarded a total of $5 million to two recipients to function with professional and condition licensing boards and countrywide compacts to produce a streamlined method for telehealth clinicians to acquire multi-condition licensure.

The Affiliation of Point out and Provincial Psychology Boards in Georgia and the Federation of Point out Health care Boards of the United States in Texas every acquired $2.5 million.
