Bonmarche collapses again as retail bloodbath deepens

Administrators are striving to strike a rescue offer and explained no redundancies would be made or stores closed in the meantime. 

Bonmarché has 225 stores all-around the Uk, getting closed 30 when it initially went into administration in Oct 2019 as it battled rising charges and the menace from online procuring. 

It was rescued at the time by rival Peacocks – aspect of retail tycoon Philip Day’s Edinburgh Woollen Mill Team. 

Peacocks and several other EWM Team makes went into administration final month. 

Dependent in Wakefield, Bonmarché traces its roots back again to 1982. Founder Parkash Singh Chima started off marketing clothing doorway-to-doorway and in markets, in advance of opening his initially store in Doncaster in 1985.
